A Beacon of Hope
Mercy’s Shore is a Christ-centered 501c3 non-profit organization in Dallas, Texas, dedicated to reunite children and their previously incarcerated mothers by providing housing, trauma-informed services, and education.
Second chances
built on solid ground
Mercy’s Shore is a safe place where children who have lost their moms to addiction can get them back, whole and healthier.

WOULD IT SURPRISE YOU?
58% of incarcerated women are mothers.
According to Brock of CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice (2024), 58% of incarcerated women are mothers.
A common response to women who have been incarcerated is, “They made the mistakes, they just need to live with them.” Maybe that is not surprising to you, but what if these mothers were offered grace and a second chance? How would it affect their children?
Mercy’s Shore transforms the lives of mothers and children by providing secure housing, trauma-informed services, accountability, and grace through Christian values.

A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR
MOTHERS AND CHILDREN
Breaking the
incarceration and homelessness cycle
for good.
Mercy’s Shore provides life-changing services to our mothers and children starting from securing suitable transitional housing. Empowering women to transform their lives and achieve self-sufficiency, we are now focused on building a sustainable financial foundation to continue providing services to the families who need it most.
Through your donation and volunteer efforts, we can empower mothers to achieve their fullest potential for their children.
Our threefold approach to
healing and growth

PHYSICAL NEEDS
Mercy’s Shore provides a comfortable, safe place for previously incarcerated mothers to raise their children and reintegrate into society. We also teach the mothers necessary skills for effective parenting, benefits of child’s play, health and nutrition as well as personal finances.

SPIRITUAL NEEDS
Through Bible studies and partnerships with local churches, we aim to provide for spiritual needs and growth. It is our hope the residents will come to understand the grace and love of Jesus Christ and develop a saving faith in Him.

EMOTIONAL NEEDS
Mercy’s Shore aims to address the emotional needs of our residents by offering addiction recovery help, weekly counseling with a licensed professional counselor, conflict resolution, anger management and a mentoring program for school-aged children and their moms.
